Buckminster Fuller used wind principles to guide his research into creating the geodesic dome. The “doing more, with less” principle is used by the sphere. Fuller introduced the idea that if the sphere’s size is doubled, it will produce eight times as much volume.

Buckminster Fuller was able to demonstrate the differences in strength between a rectangular and triangle by applying pressure on both structures. The triangle was twice as strong and held its shape while the rectangle fell apart.
